Over the past 3 years we have
sold over
1000 vehicles on ebay and decided that we would take a new approach to
the advertising. Let's face it, when you buy a car on ebay the main
thing you are lacking is the ability to test drive. Our new approach to
the marketplace will be to give you a "virtual test drive" so to speak.
Rather than a fancy description we are going to keep it simple. We are
going to pair a description of our test drive and mechanic evaluation
with a list of the pro's
and con's of this particular car. These will be based on years of buying
vehicles and knowing what to look for when purchasing. Please remember
above all that it is IMPOSSIBLE for a used car to be perfect so any
seller that doesn't list flaws is just not being thorough, we are taking
the guess work out of online buying. Please also remember that we are
doing our best to describe them well but if you have a specific question

The test drive in this car was certainly different from our normal cruise in a piece of inventory. I drove it about 10 miles and noticed none of the usual problems associated with an older European sports car. No brake
fade, no odd noises or smells, a tight feeling suspension, a clutch with plenty of life left and overall and tight car although I did notice the speedometer did not work the whole time (but the odometer did). All accessories worked well and the car on
the whole seemed to run out exceptionally well especially for its age.
You could definitely tell it was someone's baby. When I returned and
checked it out in the shop I found no note worthy issues. It has the usual minor oil leaks and a few spots of body rust (shown in pics) but overall it is a VERY solid car underneath. We
serviced the car and adjusted the carb prior to sale. The Good: Very rare car - awesome paint job - professionally done two tone interior - drives very well - brand new top - new tires on BBS style rims - no apparent electrical gremlins - all chrome is intact - spare tire intact - no major rust on car
The Bad: a bit of imperfections in the clearcoat - some light rust on body (can be seen in pics) - speedometer comes and goes (odometer works and mileage is correct) - some of the chrome is pitting but not heavily - valve covers weep a bit but no major leaks - choke sticks on carb sometimes
