Over the past 3 years we have
sold over
1000 vehicles on ebay and decided that we would take a new approach to
the advertising. Let's face it, when you buy a car on ebay the main
thing you are lacking is the ability to test drive. Our new approach to
the marketplace will be to give you a "virtual test drive" so to speak.
Rather than a fancy description we are going to keep it simple. We are
going to pair a description of our test drive and mechanic evaluation
with a list of the pro's
and con's of this particular car. These will be based on years of buying
vehicles and knowing what to look for when purchasing. Please remember
above all that it is IMPOSSIBLE for a used car to be perfect so any
seller that doesn't list flaws is just not being thorough, we are taking
the guess work out of online buying. Please also remember that we are
doing our best to describe them well but if you have a specific question

This car belonged to our previous sales manager (and still friend of mine), he just asked us to sell it so he could downsize his fleet. He is one of the most meticulous people I know when it comes to cars so when he purchased this he did EVERYTHING that needed to be done. In addition, I am the owner of one of the most heavily modified 300ZX twin turbos in the country so I know all of the ins and outs of these cars and this one is definitely one of the straightest, cleanest z's I have come across. Especially when you take the mileage into account.
The
test
drive in this car went quite
well. I drove it into work the day we got it and it really is smooth running. I noticed no
problems
with brake fade, no odd noises or smells, smooth shifts, good clutch and good running engine. All accessories worked well and the car on the whole
seemed to run out exceptionally well. When I
checked it out in the shop I found no note worthy issues other than the shifter bushings needing replacement so we are going to take care of that prior to sale. Also there is a slow leak in the A/C system.
The matching tires are almost brand new as well.
Mechanically I noticed nothing wrong with the car, it even has the shades AND bags for the t tops.
The Good: TIMING BELT JUST DONE by Nissan within last 15k miles - drivetrain is 100% sound - rare pearl white color - new tires - no rust - clutch feels strong - has the t top shades and bags - tons of power - upgraded stereo sounds awesome
The Bad: a patch in the driver's seat bolster - slow leak in A/C system - usual wear on the black moldings on the exterior - crack on lower valence of front bumper (see pics) - small crack in right tail light.
