Over the past 3 years we
have sold over 1000 vehicles on ebay and decided that we would take a
new approach to the advertising. Let's face it, when you buy a car on
ebay the main thing you are lacking is the ability to test drive. Our
new approach to the marketplace will be to give you a "virtual test
drive" so to speak. Rather than a fancy description we are going to keep
it simple. We are going to pair a description of our test drive and
mechanic evaluation with a list of the pro's and con's of this
particular car. These will be based on years of buying vehicles and
knowing what to look for when purchasing. Please remember above all that
it is IMPOSSIBLE for a used car to be perfect so any seller that
doesn't list flaws is just not being thorough, we are taking the guess
work out of online buying. Please also remember that we are doing our
best to describe them well but if you have a specific question just ask

Vision Custom Cars is pleased to offer you this 1982 Mercedes Benz 380SL Convertible. You can own this car for a mere fraction of its
original price.
The test drive in this car went wonerfully. I drove it
about 75 miles and noticed no problems with brake fade, no odd noises,
and no blown speakers and no odd shakes or smells. All accessories worked well and
the car on the whole seemed to run out exceptionally well. You could
definitely tell it was well cared for. When I returned and checked it
out in the shop I found no issues. The brakes seemed to have plenty of
life left and the matching tires still have plenty of life left as well.
The Good:
very clean car- No rips in leather- no interior
malfunctions (ie seats, windows etc) - every option offered - new soft top - rust free and cleeeaan - just serviced and needs nothing
mechanically - good matched set of tires - alpine sound - no cracks in dash - very low miles for the year - very rare car - even the power antenna works! - factory floor mats - runs and drives beautifully
The Bad:
poor clear coat repair on pass side fender - a few areas of the carpet are sun faded (see pics)
